Down-To-Earth And Humble

"3 1/2 Stars: Julie Miller, the singer and songwriter with the little girl voice, released her project Invisible Girl in 1994. A blend of CCM, Christian folk, blues, and Christian alternative, the album is an incredibly vulnerable and emotionally revealing release from the artist. The down to earth and humble recording has the potential to comfort the broken and offer hope to those who have none. Songs include the tender ballad "In My Eyes," which presents an individual's worth in the eyes of God, and the rhythmic, folk-flavored "When You Come Home." Also featured is the blues and gospel influenced, "Too Many Troubles," plus the gentle piano melody of "I Will Be With You." - All Music Guide

Vulnerable, Moving, Beautiful, Enduring

"Wow... how long have I had this cd? almost 13 years! And still it is one of our favorites. The cd has some bright songs, but its strength is in the blues infused tracks and also her tender laments.
Julie's hauntingly intimate vocals combined with accessible yet profound lyrics makes this cd a real treasure. To understand the style, think Americana, Folk, with a dash of rock, and a little splash of Cyndi Lauper (sounds weird but listen and you'll get it)--then combine that style with lyrics that will echo in your mind for years...
