Product DescriptionMy full name is Rafael Toro Jr. but people know me by junyjun when I sing and minister the word. I was born October 18, 1969 in Boston, MA. I was raised in a Christian family from birth, since my parents are both Pentecostal Christians. But I only went to church because my parents wanted me to. I did not have a relationship with Jesus and therefore, did not know him as my savior. When I reached my teenage years I got swept away by peer pressure and wondered off into the world where I began a life of downhill destruction. I dropped out of school began partying and playing in bands for money. Things just started getting worse and worse. I did not have a formal education so I could not find a good job. My finances where, well, ""non-existent"" I guess would be the best way to term it. In spite of that, in the mean time, I got married and had some kids, but I wasn't being a father to them and my wife was a nuisance to me instead of a partner. She wasn't the problem though, I was. She was a good faithful Christian stay at home mother. She was always praying for me. This lifestyle of partying and family neglect almost cost me my family. Until one day a tragedy occurred that shook my life. In despair, I pleaded to the God my parents had spoken to me about in my adolescent years..., and he answered. I accepted Christ as my personal savior for the first time in my life in November 23, 1999. That was the day things started to turn around for me. I started seeking the Lord and he began to opened doors of opportunity for me and giving me the desire to change the harm I had done to myself and my family. I developed a love for Bible study that caused me to change my perspective in life. I began to love my wife like never before and to be a good father to my children. Being a father use to be a burden to me, but now it was what I loved being more than anything else. I started to want to do things right for the first time in my life. I got my high school diploma, but that wasn't enough to get the job I wanted in order to support my family. So I started asking God for a better job. And he gave me a scholarship so that I could get my Bachelors degree in computer science. I also went to a Christian College for four years and received a degree in sciences of theology. Praise the Lord! In the meantime, I was singing and preaching for the lord wherever I was invited to. Today I have this beautiful music ministry, a loving wife, a great career, a growing family of musicians and singers, and most importantly, my salvation. Recently I recorded my first CD, thanks to Tate Music Group. Their staff of professionals are super in my book. They respect my ideas and my music and treat me like a star. The process is not finished yet, but I am confident in Tate Music's people that they will help me to get where the Lord wants me to go with this new venture. The rest, well.. it's still unwritten, a work in progress, but it is in the Lord's hands.
