Kati Mac's new CD, Poseidon's Son, is an ecclectic work of rock, pop, accoustic, jazz and ????. songs. Middle Eastern riffs float over funky loops, intimate guitar, cello, vocals followed by mysterious, 5/4 jazz based tracks. The song Trapeze is written for the people she saw fall to their deaths on 9/11. The title song, Poseidon's Son is about the healing process after wards. Part slick production, part raw emotion, Poseidon's Son is being called Mac's best work so far.
