"For all the German speakers out there, and for Americans interested in listening to German Singers, there is no better place to start then with the legendary Katja Ebstein. "Theater Theater...Die Grossten Erfolge, Die Schonsten Melodien" is a wonderful two CD collection of almost all Katja's best known songs, including, "Der Stern von Mykonos," "Wunder Gibt es immer Wieder," "Wir Leben," "Jedes Lied es einmal zu Ende," and "Athena." The set is well worth the money. My only disappointment was that "Es war einmal ein Jager" and "Mississippi Jane" weren't in the collection (but these were lesser "hits" hers, so these omissions are understandable.) These CD's will bring you hours of enjoyment, and for ex-pats from Germany, such as I, will bring back memories of sitting in the Gasthaus, drinking good beer, listening to Katja, and watching the world go by."
