(4 out of 5 stars)
"This is the second and last album by the unjustly overlooked early 90s rock band with charming lead singer Susie Hug. I would give this album five stars were it not for the opening track "The Boy Who's Never Found,", a meandering 5 minute unmelodic track with an inelegant title. But the rest of it is good stuff; if you haven't yet heard the Katydids' first(self-titled) album, start there, it is a treat. This one has its treats too - "Almost and Nearly," "Many of My Friends," and "Seesaw" are superb, energetic, upbeat, tuneful, thoughtful guitar pop songs that could have been hits and still sound fresh today. "Faith To Change" is also an excellent song, with tasteful strings augmenting the band at just the right moments. The Katydids never made a big impact but they were good, quite good, and you owe yourself the pleasure of getting to know them."
