"Keahli'i Reichel's voice is what I would consider the epitomy of the Aloha Spirit. Living and driving in LA, I turn on this CD and it magically transports me back to Kauai. I was never into Hawaiian music until I listened to Mr. Reichel and now I don't get enough. I lock Lei Hala'i into repeat and I never get tired of it. I would recommend all his albums."

"Dear Amazonians,It has been a number of years since I had been to Hawai'i, but by listening to Keali'i Reichel's soothing voice, I am able to return in spirit to this magical place.Hawai'i is a wonderful and interesting place, full of lush forests and wildlife. The music on this CD brings back memories of how much I enjoyed being in Hawai'i.Keali'i Reichel sings mostly love songs, in the traditional Hawaiian language. These songs are much more heartfelt, emotional, and expressive than any that are sung in English. One of my favorites is "Toad Song" which tells of a toad who is sitting in a bog calling out for a mate. It is sung in rhyme, and is very tender and humorous.
I highly recommend any of Keali'i Reichel's albums, especially Kawaipunahele, a very original album that highlights his extensive talent.Keali'i Reichel is doing us a tremendous service by preserving the Hawaiian language, and donating a portion of his proceeds to programs that educate young children in Hawai'i about their cultural roots, so that the spirit of Hawai'i can live on through its children. If you have been to Hawai'i in the past, or even if you have never travelled to this magical place, Lei Hali'a will transport you far from where you are, to a serene environment where you will feel at peace with yourself. All the Best,--Daniel"

"Aloha Mai, this is one of Keali'i's best. Lei hali'a means a lei of sudden remembrance which is a figurative way of saying nogastalgia in Hawaiian. I highily recomend this cd. You will not regret it!"

"I've never been to Hawaii. I heard this CD in a former Hawaiin style juice bar in Vancouver. Reichel sings with such heart and soul, the music brings tears to my eyes. When I heard the title song "Lei Hali'a" I could almost hear the breeze caressing my face, and the white sandy beaches of Hawaii under my feet. "Pu'u Pua Mae'ole" is such a powerful love song. The music is so heart-stirring, I promise myself I will visit Hawaii some day. First time I heard Reichel, I thought "this is the voice of one who is in love with the spirit of Hawaii." If I died and went to heaven, the angels would be singing Lei Reichel. I am in awe of the spirit of traditional Hawaiian song."
Incredible. Real 'Aloha;' you have to FEEL this one!

"Traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music performed by a master. Although, Mr. Reichel would argue against this statement, because he is a humble man, he cannot deny that his music has touched a much a larger group than most artists who specialize in Hawaiian music has. I extend a "from the gut" MAHALO to my brother. Go out and buy this album, now."
