"Keely is in her prime. I am a lifelong totally devoted fan. The Nelson Riddle arrangements along with the talents of Billy Mays allows her crystal clear voice to soar to the heavens. She is one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. She has music in her bones. I have never heard anyone with a cleaner voice. I could listen to any of her music 24-7."

"I was thrilled a few years back when I found this holiday collection by Keely Smith; long a favorite of mine. Her clear, gorgeous voice does plenty of justice to every cut on this album; whether religious or traditional yuletide songs. From the opening cut White Christmas to Blue Christmas at the very end; you will want to keep this on your turntable over the holidays & long afterward. Very highly recommended."
1960's Female 'Crooner' Masterpiece

"Gosh, this is a great christmas cd. If you like PEGGY LEE, JULIE LONDON, DORIS DAY, and JO STAFFORD, you're most likely bound to love this KEELY SMITH christmas album from 1961.

This album has a very nice and lush orchestra backing with some very powerful strings and also a very bautiful backing chorus. It is arranged by GEORGE GREELY and such a great job he did, I'm now going to be searching for other christmas recordings he is a part of (hopefully, he did others).

Favorite all-time songs; well, there is at least one for sure, CHRISTMAS ISLAND. While in it's familiar beat that you usually hear of the tune, it is done with the backing chorus and orchestra and some really nice 'string' sounds to it and combined with KEELY SMITH'S perfect female 'crooner' voice, the song is put above the rest.

I also like HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS which could be a favorite version. Nice orchestra and chorus backup on this one. As well as BLUE CHRISTMAS which just mightbe my favorite (a toss-up between KEELY and ELVIS' version).

But all the songs, from WHITE CHRISTMAS to I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS to O LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM, are wonderful and so no skipping a song to get to the next great one.

A 100% recommendation from me for this old 'crooner' styled masterpiece.
