"This is a good song, too bad it was already written by Visage under the name "Fade to Grey".
"One Word" is basically a cover, operating under another name...without permission.
I don't get why the writer of One Word didn't just make it a cover, it's as if she thought no one would catch on.
Pop music has become this monster, where people just come out with recycled songs, written behind the scenes and then performed by usually untalented front people.
I mean Kelly Osbourne can't even sing, they have to over process her voice so much it's not even funny anymore. Go check out the original, I'm not saying don't listen to this version, but it's good to know the truth.
This probably would have gotten 3-4 stars from me if it was original or honest."
Shockingly good

"I was as stunned as everyone else when I first heard that this was Kelly Osbourne. I first heard about this song when one of my friends saw her perform in Manhattan last Spring. I finally heard the song and I have to say - I was truly blown away. It has to be heard to be believed.
"One Word" set a record for being the first track to simultaneously go #1 on the dance/club chart, the dance radio chart, and the single sales chart. I actually went to Tower Records and bought the single, saying to myself I couldn't believe I was buying something from Kelly Osbourne.
As far as this song being ripped off someone else's tune, that I have no idea. It may or may not have happened. Either way, its a great song.
Rumor has it that Kelly has already announced her retirement from the music industry. That just increases the "wow" factor on this single. Now this great remix will go down in history as a one-hit wonder.
By the way, you can go for Kelly's full CD, but you have to get your hands on the full version of the Chris Cox Club Mix, only found on this CD single."
Kelly's one word answers it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Hey, does Steve Strange (of Visage) get royalties for this song? Unbelievably blatant rip-off of "Fade To Grey", down to the opening lyrics ("One word breaks a code of silence/One man on a lonely platform") of each song, the French female babbling in the background, the beat, everything .... On the up side, if she's going to rip off a New Wave classic, at least she's done a great job of it!!!"
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS INDULGENCE

"C'mon, this song is only a copy, a cheap one.
Ms. Osborne is fatally un-talented.
The production, although it does wonders for Kelly's voice, doesn't even come close to the romance of the original song.
Steve Strange and the guys should be pissed off. This is one of the great songs of a decade.
One Word IS A CHEAP COPY...and...she looks fabulous on the cover?
Give me a break, this is why these fiascos abound.
