"In the first dimension; Grenadilla is the name of the wood that the clarinet is made as an instrument.
In the second dimension; Grenadilla is the name of the album that clarinets are played in a perfect manner.
And in the third one; from tradition (that is the best way for Mr. Peplowski to express himself) to avant-garde (that is the best way for Marty Ehrlich to express himself), Grenadilla is what the clarinet stands for..."
The Ehrlich Influence

"It seems that anytime traditional swing players get involved with Marty Ehrlich and his type:-), good things seem always to happen. This collaboration with Peplowski and his fellow traditional/swing players is a terrific example of that with the swing guys stretching out into, for some of them probably, uncharted terrain, and it's a lot of fun and quite intriguing, as well. All the players are on top of their game with the program maintaining a good pace and holding interest throughout. It's mixed bag with some traditional swing along with more modern compositions and ideas. Not a classic, but must it be? In this instance jazz = fun, and that works for me.
In the same vein and equally interesting and fun is Randy Sandke's "Inside Out"."
