"Kenny Baker has made some great recordings over the years, with Bill Monroe and on his own. I was a little skeptical that he could match those classics, given his age and lack of recording over the last decade. The bottom line is, he did match the classics, and more!...and this is a classic. Cotton' baggin' is the best record Kenny Baker has ever done, really, and I probably have them all. Maybe its the recording quality, or the fact that Jesse McReynolds and Bobby Osborne handle the mando chores. Whatever does it, every cut is great. Keep it up Kenny!"

"Bluegrass/old-timey fiddler Kenny Baker is no spring chicken, but he still can saw a breakdown or a reel along with the best of them. This disc was his first album in many a moon, and it shows him still in top form, playing sweet, sweet licks, with bluegrass vets Bobby Osborne, Jesse McReynolds, Josh Graves and others backing him up, as well as Blaine Sprouse playing a fine twin fiddle behind him. Pretty nice stuff."
