"With no listing of tunes for this CD, I took a chance. It is a collection of a number of Kenny's best known recordings: Midnight in Moscow, Alexander's Ragtime Band, Saturday Night, Hello Dolly, I Shall Not Be Moved, Ace in the Hole--most of which you can get in "Now: Volumes l,2,and 3". What is different is that some of these arrangements are done live and are therefore more spirited. "Muskrat Ramble", "Ace in the Hole", "Saints", "Maple Leaf Rag", "Saturday Night", and "I Shall Not be Moved" are live performances. Unfortunately, there are still some of his performances on LP that have never been issued on CD. Here's hoping they get issued. In my judgment, Ball is the best of England's traditional jazz."
