CD Reviews

One of his Best
The JuRK | Our Vast, Cultural Desert | 03/27/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Ever since I heard "Celebrate Me Home," I was a Kenny Loggins fan. (I was a bit too young to be aware of his songs with Jim Messina). I have every one of his albums and continue to see where he goes as an artist.

His music still reflects life and love's ups and downs so I would also recommend his recent CDs offered along with "High Adventure" on amazon.

But "High Adventure" was a great album when it came out in 1982. I fell in love with "Don't Fight It" as much as I loved "I'm Alright" from CADDYSHACK two years before, never getting tired of playing those songs over and over again. Steve Perry from Journey was a perfect choice to sing that one with Kenny.

There're also great collaborations with Michael McDonald, who co-wrote three of the songs: "Only a Miracle," "Heart to Heart," and "I Gotta Try," which you can also find Michael's version on his 1982 CD, "If That's What It Takes."

Great music and enduring memories!"

"Classic album one of Kenny's best. From the hard driven "Don't Fight It" with Steve Perry to the Michael McDonald-Loggins-David Foster classic "Heart to Heart" to "Only a Miracle written upon the birth of Kenny's first child Crosby who is now an up and coming singer himself."
