Very good Flamenco pop, just a notch below "Toma".

"I've know this trio for some time now, but had never purchased anything from them until recently. I still had in the back of my mind the song "No estamos lokos", which was a major hit, but that I never really liked. This cd is a continuation of previous releases, with an interesting blend of flamenco and other styles (bossanova for instance). This really makes the music from this band "música de fusión". The journey kicks off with a powerful "Alguna vez",and it never goes down in intensity. Great guitar solos and well produced tracks with horns and synths that do not make the final result sound corny at all. My favourite probably is track 4 (llorare). "Kamino del monte" takes me back to Granada. A city well worth seeing. "Como las mareas" makes you think you are somewhere between a beach of Rio and a beach of the Mediterranean. What a feeling !!!And yes, there is a dvd that cannot be viewed if you do not have a region free player. I don't have that problem since I have all sorts of equipment to see and watch and listen to anything, but be aware that you won't be able to see the dvd if you can't see region 2 dvds on your machine. If you can, you will see a flamenco jam, 45 minutes long, with an explanation at the end from different members of the Ketama clan as to what family reunions are, and where Gitanos get their joy of life from. Overall recommended if you think you will like this fusion music. It is not pure flamenco and it is very accessible to anybody. Try it..."
