Hard to find but worth it

"Quick pre-review : Kevin Raleigh joins MSB on Cabin Fever tour, first record with the band is Greatest Hints, writes a few songs for the album (including Promises which is played at a High School assembly I remember attending before I had even heard of MSB) and then with the next album offers the world He Can't Love You (for the Heartland album), which turns a great band into a phenomenal one. For that song alone we should be praising this man forever, but on to this album.



The first two tracks alone are worth the price (any price) of admission. I know he did not write them (he wrote all the other tunes), but he had the good sense to cover them and do a fantastic job. Personally, I am a jazz pianist and in jazz wheather or not you wrote the song is unimportant. What's important is that you make it sound like you wrote it, and make it sound good. Kevin makes these songs sound great (and yes I have heard other versions that pale by comparison).



If you like MSB (the Kevin Raleigh years especially) then you will absolutely enjoy this album. I only wish he would make more!"

MSB Keyboardist Goes Solo

"Kevin Raleigh has a great singing voice. That was proved over and over with the Michael Stanley Band. The writer of "He Can't Love You" strikes out on his own here. The voice is certainly there and the songs are ok. (Includes the hit "Moonlight On Water") The only thing missing is the magic of the MSB guys playing with him. Not a bad effort. This is for a true MSB fan. Glad I have it in my collection."
