CD Reviews

Fantastic 80s-style Hard Rock album. Made in 2008 by a mode
W. Rabeneck | Arkansas United States | 08/24/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"In a year when it seems like a lot of 1980s Hard Rock bands are on the comeback trail (Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Dokken, Journey, Tesla, and Great White), Khymera a band who wasn't around during that era, but is heavily influenced by that era, may have put out the best Hard Rock album of 2008 (I write this in August 2008).

There is excellent songwriting, singing, and musicianship. I'd especially say that people who liked bands like Journey, and Survivor, during the 80s, are going to love this one!"
Melodic Rock para el siglo 21!
Pedro Jimenez | mexico city | 04/06/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

This album does not deserve anything less than 5 stars!
Ghost In The Ruins | The Volunteer State | 02/11/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Honestly, I can't add much insight to what's already been said. In my opinion, The Greatest Wonder does set the bar for melodic rock albums coming out in 2009! Oddly enough, Dennis Ward sounds similar to Joe Elliot from Def Leppard. That's probably the best comparison that I can think of. As far as the music is concerned, it's well balanced. Meaning, there's enough crunch to not over power the melody and enough keyboards to add depth. This is a very full sounding offering from the band. If you like 80's era Def Leppard, Danger Danger, Bad English or Journey, then you can't go wrong with buying The Greatest Wonder from Khymera."
