"In 1959 it was Conniff Meets Butterfield. In 1963 this duo teamed up for Just Kiddin' Around as an update to their 1959 release. "Alexander's Ragtime Band","Heartaches", and "When I Grow Too Old to Dream" receive an uptempo treatment with their Ray's trombone and Billy's trumpet! You wish there were tunes like this today! I think you will like this compilation!"
SMALL GROUP, GREAT MUSIC

"Ray Conniff on trombone, Billy Butterfield on trumpet, plus organ, guitar and rhythm section (uncredited). This is the small group that plays the great music in this 1963 get-together of old friends Conniff and Butterfield, kiddin' around with their horns on several standards. Great memories from my teen ages (I was 14 when I bought the LP), now on CD."
"If you like music,..."

"This CD is a real throwback to the big band music of the forties and fifties, and if you do not like brass, you will not like the CD. On the other hand, if you like music, you'll love it! When you hear "Peg 'O My Heart," you will likely want to grab somebody and dance to it. They did an excellent job of putting real quality sound into the CD, and this one is sure to keep you awake and interested. "Real Conniff!""
