This is a very pretty album filled with calming music. Nothing I would call a favorite, except her rendering of All the Pretty Little Horses (I believe it was), which is really beautiful. For background or lullaby music, I recommend this album. I wish she had sung some of the songs, as her voice is lovely, but I think all the songs on this album are instrumental.

Puts my kids in a sleepy and beautifully quiet stupor

"We got this CD as a gift before our daughter was born in '05.....we listened to it as I was giving birth to her...and now she is 4 and all through her life we've put this on when things are particularly difficult or chaotic and it ALWAYS calms her. We now have an 8 month foster son and today while my daughter was dealing with the flu and the baby was fussing and I was feeling overwhelmed I put this on and prayed a little and, instantaneously, things were peaceful! I LOVE this CD!"
Simple, Beautiful

"This music is so peaceful and lovely. Kim Robertson is my favorite harpist thus far. There is something so uncomplicated and comforting about the way she plays. I highly recommend her music, and especially this CD."
Tender Shepherd CD and Harp Sheet Music
Laurie A. Hauke | Florida | 02/04/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)
"This CD is lovely and I have the harp sheet music that goes with the CD. Kim is a lovely harpist and also an excellent teacher both in person and with her instructional books. Her arrangements for the songs that go with the CD are wonderful. My only complaint is that the sheet music seems to be missing the Tender Shepherd song that is included on the CD. Which is a shame because it is a lovely arrangement and the piano arrangement from the Broadway Musical is not nearly as nice."
