"I followed Kina Cosper from when she was with Brownstone and must say this song is quite a change from that group, but I like it! I think Kina has real star potential and from what I have heard from her debut album, she is going to make it big! Her sound has changed from R&B to more of a universal pop/rock sound, which I think was a smart move. I'm not sure if the lyrics to this song are autobiographical, but they are very inspirational and emotional. But her voice is the thing that attracts me the most - she sings with so much passion. The only artist I can really compare her to is the legendary Tina Turner. I also noticed that her video is getting airplay on MTV, which is also a good sign for things to come."
Big things to come...

"I just got this CD single, and I can't wait for the full album to come out now! I saw somewhere that she was being hailed as the next Alanis Morisette, which is why I bought this single, and I can see how someone came to that conclusion! These two songs were both catchy and raw with emotion. I loved them both! If you like Fiona Apple, Alanis Morisette, or as another reviewer said, Tina Turner, then definitely buy this cd-single!"

"I first heard this single (Girl from the Gutter) on Realplayer Take 5. It caught my attention right away. I immediately began searching for other songs from her album. Be sure and listen to "Have a Cry" and "Me" before you judge her voice. This girl has some great tunes! "Have a Cry" has a soulful swing like Sheryl Crow's leaving Las Vegas. But it's more bluesy (is that a word?). And Kina really sings on that track! "Me," I only heard the first 10 seconds of it. But it has a unique beat. I almost didn't think it was Kina until I heard her voice. Of those three songs that I heard, I'm definitely going to buy it. Some people have compared her to Alanis Morissette or Sheryl Crow. I think she holds a slight similarity. But she stands on her own with an original style. A nice blend of Rock/Pop and Blues."
INTENSE.....

"Intense is putting it mildly. I had the pleasure of seeing Kina live at The Five Spot in Philly earlier this year...Kina's live performance of her single "Girl from the Gutter " and "Have a Cry", was so powerful! You could hear and feel the burdens and complexity in her life that she had to endure in her private and professional life, probably following her departure of Brownstone. Placing cynicism "in the gutter", she has conquered all and in triumph holds her head high, highsteppin' and flaying all the way as in her performance she so fervently sang in what I would view as her call to arms in "Me".Big ups to Kina!"
