"Luckily for me a friend suggested this CD. A horror trip of 5 hours in a van with four children turned into a glorious journey. By the time we reached our destination we all had favorite cuts from this CD, King Island Christmas. This CD is sure a king among Christmas music.It doesn't take the place of the traditional Christmas tunes but it certainly deserves a place with them. Be sure to get it for your family."

"Absolutely love this recording. Each time we play it we gather more personal meanings from the lyrics. Music is habit forming. The more you listen, the more you want to hear it again and again and again. Our kids love it ... and even the grandparents love it. How exciting to find something that several generations can enjoy together."

"I wanted the cd and book of King Island Christmas because David Friedman wrote the music. I had no idea that I'd be introduced to the most charming, inspiring, and beautifully produced musical and story book I'm having my own Christmas in J uly reading the book, listening to the music, and following the words in the booklet enclosed. I always say a mental thankyou when the words.are included. It shows a generosity which says "we really want you to enjoy every word" and ,you know in this case I could understand every word anyway, every single word! You can find out for yourself how David Friedman ended up becoming the one to write the music for Deborah B. Brevoort's words.That in itself is a wonderful story. My thrill when I was wondering who was who, was to see names like Marin Mazzie, Peter Matz , Thomas Z Shepard tucked in the lists., so unassumingly. I'm so glad now to know about Jean Rogers and the people of King Island, and to enjoy the artwork of Rie Munoz- it's beautiful! I'm the kind of person who sits til the last name rolls up in the credits of a movie so even if I can't name everyone here, believe me I do thank them all ...and particularly David Friedman because the enjoyment of his other music led me here in the the first place. You simply must get the King Island Christmas cd and book. You really will love them I'm sure .Fran McCauley"
