"Imagination/Warm and Wonderful gives us a wonderful twofer CD by The King Sisters. We get all the tracks from two of their record albums entitled Imagination and Warm and Wonderful. The King Sisters were a classy act that has been somewhat forgotten over the years but I hope with CDs like this many more people will again remember them fondly. The sound quality is excellent and I like that artwork, too!

The King Sisters sing "Deep Purple" to start off this CD; and they do a wonderful rendition of this ballad. They slow down the tempo and play with a few key changes to place their own stamp on this excellent ballad; and it all works very well. "That Old Feeling" is a love song that I always enjoy; and when The King Sisters sing this they really make it take off like a jet! They sing "That Old Feeling" with great sensitivity and I like it very much. Similarly, "Take The `A' Train" sounds fresh and new when The King Sisters perform this with heart and soul; they sound great and when they change a few keys it enhances the natural beauty of this ballad.

"You're My Thrill" is another major highlight of this album; they deliver this well and the musical arrangement makes great use of the percussion. "Imagination" also shines like silver and gold when these gals sing it; and "Imagination" holds its own very well.

"Easy To Love" gets a jazzy rendition from The King Sisters; again they harmonize very well and this strengthens this number.

"I Hadn't Anyone Till You" gets a sensitive, gentle treatment from this sister act; and they do "I Hadn't Anyone Till You" with their usual flair. "All My Life" places The King Sisters front and center--and that's great by me! "All My Life" showcases the fine vocal talents of The King Sisters.

"That's All" really impresses me with their fine interpretation of this timeless love song; the horn solo is excellent! "The Nearness Of You" displays their talents very well yet again; the backup chorus of men bolsters their performance--not that they needed it; they were that good! The CD also ends strong with The King Sisters performing "How Long Has This Been Going On?" This melody gets a slightly slower tempo than I'm used to but I like it very much anyway. "How Long Has This Been Going On? is a great way to end the CD.

The King Sisters could take a melody and make it their own with their excellent key and tempo changes; they really were remarkably talented. I highly recommend this CD for their fans; and people who enjoy classic pop vocals will also want this album in their collections.
