"This young man "definitely" has an anointing from God! It it evident in the music he produces and it is evident at the concerts/worship services he presents on tour. I have seen his ministry team in concert two times (in Springfield, Mass. and New Haven,Conn.)and it keeps on gettin' better and better! Andrae Crouch started breaking ground in the r&b sound in the 1970's, Leon Patillo, Philip Bailey and Tramaine Hawkins helped bring it through the 1980's, BUT Kirk Franklin is on the verge of "tearing the roof off' from the 1990's and into this new millenium!1NC is a complete package that includes many styles of worship, praise and celebration. And I LOVE the way the cd ends... with an altar call (this is the ultimate goal of ALL gospel music any- way! ).I like to groove; so my favorite selections are: Movin' On, Unconditional, Nobody, and Could've Been Me. The best jam on this CD is "Hands Up" (the Devil tried to run up on me and got his neck broke)! What a powerful reminder of what all believers can do in Christ through the Holy Spirit! So when I make my driving and excersize "mix" tape, I will be adding those songs to "Revolution", "Lovely Day", "Praise Joint", "If You've Been Delivered", "My Desire", "Stomp", "Whatcha Lookin' For", and "Speak to Me".He deals with the issues that "really" matter to all of us,when we are all alone, late at night... (we've all been there). We are reminded of His faithfulness to us no matter what we are faced with. I hope this continues in gospel music, I hope to see 1NC in concert sometime later this year or early next year.Maybe this time a Grammy will be realized. A Dove award is practically assured. But no matter what, you will be blessed by this cd and I highly recommend this recording to all who love gospel music, who love to groove and who enjoy being encouraged in these often troubled times that we live in.A five star rating is a "no brainer" here!"
Great Gospel Music For Today's Generation

"I must admit that I'm probably about 10 to 20 years out of the "target" audience for this CD but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying it. There's a great variety of music and, even if you don't like this CD, at least one or two songs are bound to grab your attention. My little girls love this CD so I think this is a great effort by Kirk Franklin and the Once Nation Crew to reach the younger children and the young adults. I know a lot of older people aren't too crazy about the direction that gospel music has gone but I appreciate and welcome music like this as an alternative to some of the stuff that the younger generation COULD be listening to!"
Great mixture of music styles - it's jamming!

"A mixture of music styles - spanish, african, r&b, funk - this thing is jamming. It's not as commerial as I thought, but it is a great CD. You need a good speaker system to enjoy this road to heaven. Kirk Franklin is the "Quincy Jones of Gospel"! Would I buy this CD again? Yes!"
I'd like to speak for this CD before the Kirk-bashers come.

"This album was a great, fun listen. I luv'd the R+B/reggae/P+W feel to this CD and I will definately buy another copy for multiple family members at Christmas. And just one word to those who practically h8 Kirk for his change in his music.a) There is nothing wrong with R+B or rap or rock or hardcore or ska or whatever type of music you can think of, just as long as the Lord is being lifted up and praised above all. Not all Christian music MUST be strictly praise and worship.A lot of people have been calling Kirk's music "worldly music". Well, personally, I LIKE worldly MUSIC. Just not the lyrics.A lot of people have been led away from Christian music because some poeple (no one in particular) tell them that the majority of Christian is just praise and worship, when it's not (either because those people don't know about the other music (which I can easily see), or they don't approve of the other types of music). Look at my other reviews and you'll see a small window showing a small part of a much bigger worl in Christian music.b) Kirk praises no one but God. I don't know where people can get off saying that he's become self-obsessed and all about his own personal gain as opposed to spreading God's kingdom.c) one other thing, slightly related to point "a". A lot of people trapped in the secular world of music have been either saved or have opened their minds to Christian music through Kirk Franklin which have created some controversy among believers saying that he's become a secular artist since his music is more appealing to secular audiences. This is not true. Kirk could simply be trying to reach out to secular listeners more than Christian, which is a GOOD thing.Really, those people in the secular world need to hear this more than those already with a ground and strong faith in Christ. So, I say, way to go Kirk. Continue to spread the word to those who have little or no knowledge of it. God Bless."
An Encouragement to All !!!!! Age 24

"I loved this album from beginning to end, I was encouraged to persevere when things weren't going so well. The song "Donna" was an encouragement to every single parent out there, including myself. The song "Free" helped me get through the personal death of a friend, the song "Lost Hearts" is something we all need to hear, because it speaks to your soul about how we as humans need to wake up and get with the Lord. The Song Called "In Your Grace", is a song worth more than words could ever describe, but if I had to describe this song, I would say this song will reach alot of young and old people, The alter call is what really touched my heart, because you just don't hear that to much anymore, I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who needs some encouragement, and definitely KIRK keep up the good work !!!!! I also love the unity of all the ethnic backgrounds!!!"
