"Kleine Kamermusik is a little hiden masterwork in the XX century music. It 's an abstract exercise in sound combinatory, but no lack of feeling or personal touch. Hindemith's ideas unfold through this work and profiting the possibilities of the wind quintet. This kind of ensemble provides a proper field for the poliphonic writing of its author. Kleine Kamermusik takes us from introspective mood to irony into an expressionist enviroment. The wind sonates are less abstract. They show the Hindemith characteristic elements like smooth disposition and employ of "dissonant counterpoint". To hear this performances is submerge in a true sea of sounds. Ensemble Wien-Berlin plays with acuracy and resalting the diverse textures of the instruments. In fact their approach is based on the rescue of pitch and colour riches. Pianist Ferenc Bogsnar adapt himself perfectly to the rendering tasks. For this reason, this version doesn't tire, fatigue or saturate the hear like other availible CDs, moreover sound quality is excellent. It captures each detail of the intruments sound without to hide all handling mechanics effects for the mucisians. You won't listen a heavenly unexistent concert (like some classic music recordings and overcoat new age). This is a sampler of the best chamber music."
