"Now that I have obtained all of KMFDM's full-length albums, I'm now working towards owning the vast number of singles. VIRUS is the third one I bought, mainly for the original version of "More & Faster"."Virus"--I've nearly worn out my copy of the NAIVE: HELL TO GO album (a great record!) so I'd been accostumed to the dub-mix version of this song. The original, found on this single, may even be better! It's definately harder and heavier--the beats are even stronger and the guitars are more distorted. The vocals are different and the whole feel of the song is less "funk and soul" and more "industrial". A great track."More & Faster"--As will "Virus", I'm used to listening to the remix of "M&F" from UAIOE (while it's a great song, it's just too damn short!), so I was excited about hearing this original version. As good as it is, I'll have to stick with the remix. This version is certainly longer--it contains two more verses--but the beat is more chaotic and the chorus doesn't blow you away. Other listeners consider this to be the better version, but I disagree."Don't Blow Your Top"--This is the same version found on the album of the same name. Being that as it may, it is still a great song. Side note: listen to the Frank Zappa songs "I'm the Slime" and "Dirty Love" and you'll hear a remarkable resemblence to "DBYT"!"High & Geil"--While it can't be found on any album, I don't think you should jump through hoops to hear this rare track. It's essentially a VERY slowed-down version of "More & Faster" with a strong similarity to songs from PIG.So...two great songs, one nastalgic remix, and one skipper. Not bad, certainly for the KMFDM fanatic. An added bonus--in addition to the VIRUS art by BRUTE!, you also get the art for DBYT and M&F. I was pleasantly surprised."
A nice single

"KMFDM has many singles, and this is one of the better ones. 3 of the tracks included are exclusive to it, and the other one is from a rare album, and if you're a fan you'll definitely want to hear these songs.
The single starts with the title track, Virus. This version is neither the Dub nor the Pestilience remix, but kind of a meeting place in the middle. It's closer to the remix, though. Definitely the best version of the track. 5/5
Following that is the original version of More and Faster. I had heard this version in the video for the track, but at the time I hadn't known where to find it. I've got to disagree with the other reviewer. This version may be a little crazier, but it's all the better for it. It's also has just the extension it needed. I don't know why they didn't include it on UAIOE. 5/5
The third track is Don't Blow Your Top from the album of the same name. It's the same version as the original, but that's not a bad thing. It's a fun song. Still I wish they would have put another new song or a remix on instead of it. 5/5
The single finishes with High and Geil, another version of More and Faster. It's much slower and it has an almost old school hip hop feel to it. It's not as good as the original, but it is interesting. 4/5
This is a good single to get if you're a collector. It has the best versions of Virus and More and Faster, and the other tracks aren't bad. Still I don't feel like giving a release this short a 5. Get it if you're a collector."
Probably won't know you out

"Well, as most people know, either you love KMFDM or you hate them. Also, most fans know that you probably have to be a big fan to admire their older work. Virus is a good single, considering its age and that there are three other songs and not just one hundred million versions of the title track. The other songs aren't all that great, but Virus is such a great track, I think it's worth it. Like I said, it is a very primitive piece of KMFDM's work, but it's a keeper for collectors. If you're just getting in to KMFDM, try Angst, NIHIL or the self titled album first. Most fans work their way backwards."
