"I used to work at the minty fresh label and I must say that this band is by far the best band on that label. The songs have Phat hooks they are catchy as hell.If you have not seen this band live you should because they are sweet"

"I bought "What Makes it Go" because I loved "A Simple Formality." At first I wasn't impressed with the other tracks. However, after a few listens I was hooked. With feet firmly planted in the past and a vision firmly set on the future, Komeda has created a true gem.And Lena has such a beautiful voice!1998's #2 album, after Boards of Canada's "Music has the Right to Children.""

"The title of this album is most befitting for me, as I generally dispise modern "alternative" music and also tend to shy away from female vocals. As a non-fan of the genre, however, a 5-star rating from me is the highest form of praise there is. I first heard this album by grace of a friend while zonked on good hash. After hearing the first song, I made him play it again just to make sure what I heard was real-- I was instantly hooked. As my friend said of it, "it's weird..." and so it is. Komeda dares to explore unusual textures and masterfully blends bubbly pop fluff with deeper, more cerebral emotions. The musicianship ain't too shabby either. They have found the perfect balance of blending different styles and inflluences while managing not to spoil the recipe with too many ingredients. Whatever the formula-- unbeknownst to me what it is-- works. The next day , sober, I heard it again and the magic was still there. The mismatched textures, the brilliance, the unguided emotions. How can music this cheesy sound so good? When I find out, I will know what makes it go..."
One of the best albums ever made

"This album restored my faith in humanity, namely, that in such a hopelessly commercially-driven music market four people from north Sweden could make something so spontaneously creative and playful and rocking and have it get popular all at the same time, without worrying about what others will think. Extremely well crafted, it grows on you. It's on my desert island list."
