"'As One' is one CD that any Kool & The Gang fan,of any age should definately have.Most people probably got it for the big hit "Big Fun" or the regaeish street party tune of "Oh La La La (Let's Go Dancing)" but there's so much more here then that!The deep funk opener of "Street Kids" discusses the pleasures of Captain Video and those into "punk or funk" with a sly little nod to early hip-hop culture.The funk doesn't stop there with the rhythm guitar drenced "Pretty Baby" setting the stage wheras the final tune,the "Too Hot"-like ballad "Think It Over"

should've been a huge hit.This is the bands last album produced by Eumir Deodato and is certainly a funky way to go out.But it is also the final album with that kind of flavor and anyone who enjoys Kool & The Gang's funkier music,even with JT Taylor will probably enjoy this more then later,poppier CD's.But while you can snag it,SNAG IT!!"
