"I feel sorry for hip hop. In today's world of hip hop music, it's just dying a slow, painful death and it doesn't look to be bright for the future. Kool G.Rap decided to release this long awaited album, and when I purchased it, I wasn't disappointed. He might not be in his prime, but he can still deliver the goods(ask Nelly or Chingy or any of these other wack rappers do they want to see G.Rap LYRICALLY). The Giaciana Story is an excellent, even though this is another album in G.Rap's catalog that went unnoticed. Here's the review:Album Highlights: Not too much filler, but the standout tracks are Thug For Life, Where You At(w/Prodigy), Holla Back, It's Nothin, Thug Chronicles, Blaze Wit Y'all, The Streets, Good Die Young, Gangsta Gangsta, Fight Club, and My Life.Production: Thumbs up.Lyrics and Subject Matter: Thumbs up. Nothing new here from G.Rap, but the material sounds so fresh. Originality: Thumbs SLIGHTLY in the middle for this one.The Last Word: While this album is not going to turn many heads, this is still TRUE Kool G.Rap. He might not be the same G.Rap from the 90s, but he can still get the job done on the mic, whether his material goes unnoticed or not. Overall, this album is an excellent one from him, and I hope he releases another. Recommended."

"Goddamn.
I just got this CD yesterday and listened to it nonstop. How could you not love this CD? Kool G really puts it down, he is one of the top lyricists in the Game and also put some great beats on this CD. I have only been listenin to this for a lil while but felt I had to write a review because it was soo good.
I recomend you also Check out BIG L and Saigon-Warning Shots

"As long as Kool G Rap can keep spitting out his grimey, storytelling rhymes, any CD he puts out gets 5 stars from me. The production on this CD is pretty good, but as with any album by this hip hop pioneer, the lyrics make the record a classic. If you like G Rap, this is a great album."
Kool G Rap- The Giancana Story

"Kool G Raps aka Nathaniel Wilson latest album "The Giancana Story" with his new label Koch is most likely to be slept on, but has some gems. Main production comes from Bink Dog, Rockwilder, Buckwild and Young Lord. Some of the well known guest appearances come from Prodigy and Havoc of Mobb Deep, CNN and AZ. "Where you at" feat. Prodigy starts the album off, track has an addictive beat, and is one of the nicest collabs ive heard in awile. There are some less than memorable tracks that follow. But things pick up with banging tracks like "Black Widow" and "Fight Club". My favourite track is the the lead single called "My Life", which has been circulating for over a year now, still love it though. Next "Good Die Young" and "The Streets" follow and they are raw, grimey and hardcore tracks. Album ends with "My Life (Remix) feat. CNN and is a decent closer. One problem with this album is it got pushed back and back and back, so by time it did come out alot of people had heard it. The other is that 13 tracks and 1 remix, leaves you looking for more, if it was 20 you have larger assortment of tracks to like. Kool G Rap is a 15 year veteran of hiphop, and the fact that he is still dropping albums is a major accomplishment. I recommend saving your money and buying some of his past work if your new to G Rap, and if you have followed him since back in the day listen to the album before you cop it. Still got lotta love for G-Rap though, think now that hes with his new label there will be no two year delays and his next release will be a much more complete album. 3 1/2"
