CD ReviewsWhy Graham Brown | FYSHWICK, ACT Australia | 10/28/2004 (2 out of 5 stars) "Why doesnt someone working with Keith release a better produced version of Mommy off cenobites. Its got me f#$ked why 1 of Keiths best tracks is available only on a rare poorly produced ep. Also alot of other Keiths best arnt on here such as Earth People off Octagon, Appartment 223 off Dooom, Make up your mind from Sex Style and Drugs off Spank Master. How someone could say that this is a mix of rare and best stuff is beyond me. Ive just named 5 tracks that should be on this. DJ Junkaz Lou. You obviously havnt taken enough acid." Kool Keith SystemStructure | town, WA United States | 08/09/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "There's one thing to be said about that weird homey Kool Keith - he's a true original through and through. From his early days as part of the Ultramagnetic MC's to his metamorph into twisted Dr Octagon he is a powerhouse of lyrical dexterity and black hip hop originality. Kool Keith never struck me as a gangsta, he's always been too busy being thoroughly weird and himself all the time. He's like the guy that always chilled around and with gangstas, yet was more of a twisted, otherworldly playa. There are no other lyrics like the ones penned by Kool Keith, even in his mainstream "Black Elvis" phase. Often showing a bizzare ghetto meets sci fi meets warped lyrical delivery it certinaly is pretty radical. I also owe Keith one for introducing me to asian dj Dan "The Automator" Nakamura one of the best producers in underground hip hop. That other reviewer is kind of whack. Kool Keith rules and this is an ok compilation. If you like this check out: Deltron 3030 Dan The Automator Ultramagnetic MC's" Best Mix-Tape S. Tokarczyk | Sydney, Australia | 10/31/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is my favourite Mix-tape ever and the first Kool Keith release i bought. Junkaz Lou holds in down with a mad selection of new and old tracks, he even makes some dodgy new ones of 'Matthew' sound good with some synthesizer and keyboard. Everysong sounds revamped, gritty and uniquely Keith. This is truely another out of this world and futuristic release. No other rapper on this planet has whatever it is that Kool keith has.
