7th solo is a decent one

"Kurupt returns after almost 4 years since his last solo, to bring you his 7th (if you count his 2003 "Against the Grain" that Daz put out). Of his 7 solo's, his first 3 are worthy of 4.5 or border 4/4.5 star albums and his other 3 are worthy of stars, as is this one. Also has 8 Dogg Pound albums with Daz and 4 other group albums: one each with; J Wells, CJ Genevece (Tha Originals), Roscoe, and DJ Quik, so over the past 18 years he has solidified himself as a west coast vet. This one has 14 songs, 2 I skip, 1 is ok, 1 is a near classic, and the other 10 are good, but no classics on here. Guests are heavy, only 2 songs are solo's (though the majority of the guests are just doing the hooks), so after a long solo break you don't get as much as you might have hoped from Young Gotti. Production is decent and mostly handled by Terrace Martin (he does 12 of the 14) and Pete Rock & Lil Jon each do 1. A nice album to have for his fans, though he has done better work in the past.

"This CD has some bangin tracks no doubt, sure to have your speakers bumpin. Sick beats, tight lyrics and true West Coast. I can listen to the entire CD the whole way through without skipping tracks. That says a lot for the album right there. Pick it up, you will not be disappointed."
