CD ReviewsUnique performance Darbari Sarod | San Ramon, CA, USA | 05/07/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Kushal Das presents an evening/twilight raga called Marwa that evokes feelings of heroism and peace. The instrument is a Surbahar which is a bass Sitar (rarely played these days) and generally only used for the Alaap section of a performance (without tabla accompaniment). Kushal Das has actually performed the entire raga on this difficult to master instrument with perfection beyond imagination. The special tablas used on this performance sound like a Pakhawaj. Overall, a very unique and superb performance and a must have in every music lover's collection."
