"I have nothing against Kylie, but this CD was not my cup of tea. Over produced and under-sung, all these songs sounded just about the same--and that's not a good thing. I am utterly perplexed as to these 5-star and 4-star ratings. This reminded me somewhat of Stacey Q, but (if you can believe this) not as good.
Not recommended."
Losing her touch.

"In 2003 we got a hot dance track called "Slow" from the not-so-great album "Body Language", Now she returns 4 years later with a follow-up that's just okay. Because Electropop/Hip-Hop is mainstream these days this album blends in with anything else on the radio. Especially the infamous BRITNEY SPEARS Recent Work. "X" is not a bad album, But it's not good either. With the NEW electro/dance-Pop trend in the latest years it's sold her out to everyone elses sound. Kylie's music (In The U.S) usually has a slightly different groove to it. Therefore I've always looked to her bring something unique to the table. British-Pop has always had a distinct sound to it, It seems it's losing it's flare mostly due to collaboration with american music producers and american producers being exposed more their sound. British-pop in most cases is a step ahead of american-pop. "Nu-Di-Ty" & "Like A Drug" are definate "Britney" material, Janet Jackson's "Feedback" wouldn't be out of place on "X". "In My Arms" is a fabulous dance track with a flashy beat. "Stars" has a mild pop/rock flare about it. "No More Rain" "Sensitized" & "Rippin' Up The Disco (Bonus)" are the quality songs of the album. Kylie's losing her touch, Nothing on "X" is original, However "In My Arms" has that Minogue trademark we all know and love her for. Maybe next time."
Great album!

"One of the best pop albums to come out in the last couple of years. As agreed with others, she has had some recent success with the album from 02. But she hasn't done much in the U.S. since then, and while that's really not ancient in some people's eyes. In top 40 radio, it can be. i heard described as the international Madonna, and the us took everybody else s word. And that's how she became popular again. Honestly, some of her stuff sucks really bad, but some of her stuff is really great. It's almost like 50-50 with her.
As for X, it's got great beats. It seems very progressive in terms of beats. The music videos are really flashy, cheesy cool, and a nice alternative to most pop music stars in America. I'm really surprised she did not come back with this album in the U.S. she could have very easily came back. Speakerphone is the best track on this album. It's really a nice alternative to Gwen Stefani and Nelly Furtado type songs. Wow is really alot of fun, and its a great pop song. 2 hearts is very good as well."

"I love how with every album Kylie keeps sounding modern-her sound progresses. In the late 80s when she began she sounded very much a product of that time, same for the early 90s. I feel that she didnt truly break away until Impossible Princess which I feel is still her best album and holds up relatively well. Light Years, Fever, and Body Language sound like products of that time-still modern a bit to us and also a bit dated to us as well. X I feel is a product of this time, I don't know how well it well hold up in the next five years but for now most of it is really good.
1. 2 Hearts has really divided her fans, some like it and some hate it. I adore this song and its sexy retro feel-but its not one of her best and its not the best on the album. 3 out of 5
2. Like A Drug-Starts off with a good beat-rather impersonal lyrics but then when the chorus starts this song really takes off. 4 out of 5
3. In My Arms- A so-so track, feels like an updated left over song off of fever or Light Years-I like the verses and the bridge better than the actual chorus which I feel actually weakens it a bit. 3 out of 5
4. Speakerphone-This song was my favorite when I first heard it-since I think I've overplayed it! 4 out of 5
5. Sensitized-This song really slows the album down a bit-which make this good song feel a bit boring the end of it is really good. 3 out of 5
6. Heart Beat Rock-Fun but not a very good track. Song sounds a bit Gwenish. 3 out of 5
7.The One-is also the best one on this whole album. Its not a perfect song but the words are perfect-it really takes you away! It feels a bit too long after the 2:50 mark and I usually skip it right back to the beginning at that point. 5 out of 5
8. No More Rain-A touching song about Kylie's experience with BC. 5 out of 5
9. All I See- The Janet Jackson track off the album, an ok song that I see dating fast. 2 out of 5
10. Stars -A solid song that really isnt a stand out but not a weak track. 3 out of 5
11. WOW-Stars off hyper and cheesy a bit but then gets really good. 4 out of 5
12. Nu-Di-Ty-The Britney Spears track and shockingly a skipper for me-and I never really skip Kylie tracks and never go back to them. It starts off horribly and never really gets good-though it does get listenable after that rocky start. 1 out of 5
13. Cosmic-I love how this song starts off-"I wanted to a write a song called cosmic"-if Kylie ever gave up the dance beats she should stick to this style. 4 out of 5
14. All I see-It doesnt get better with the rapping. 1 out of 5.
15. Carried Away-I'm not carried away by this track-its not the best or the worst. 3 out of 5
Overall not one of Kylie's best efforts but it does leave you wondering what's next."
