First thing's first! Start with this!

"This isn't the first L'Arc en Ciel album I ever bought and it sure isn't the last either. But I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has none, 2 or less L'Arc en Ciel albums. This is THE CD to start with! It has their 12 greatest hits as voted on by Asians through Yahoo! plus 1 new song (Anemone). This CD has gotten heavy usage by me and is still in my portable CD player now. (Has been for 4 months now--I listen to it on and off) This is probably one of the most listen to L'Arc en Ciel CDs I own (aside from True)
Tracks: Blurry Eyes- This is probably one of their best songs, in my opinion. It's very catchy and a great way to start off their hits list. XP
Flower- Beautiful vocals, instrumentals and all-round great song!
Lies and Truth- Catchy and another great addition to this list
Niji (Rainbow)- I love the vocals in this so much for some reason.
Winter fall- This is the only problem I see with this CD. I don't know how this got on here. If you over look it, the CD is perfect. (It should be replaced with Caress of Venus!)
DIVE TO BLUE- very pop, very catchy, very fun!
HONEY- another great song =)
HEAVEN'S DRIVE- (sound like Ark to you?) 4 songs from Ark on here XP But that only makes it better. Heaven's Drive is one of Laruku's most popular songs and just during the first 10 seconds, I can see why. This song is definately worth listening to over and over.
Pieces- Slowed down after Heaven's Drive but it just seems to fit. Beatuiful PV, beautiful song.
Driver's High- awesome song. Words can't describe it =P
Neo Universe- keeps up the pace of upbeat songs. Neo Universe is very poppy and (i hate to use the word again but...) catchy.
STAY AWAY- ANOTHER great song (i'm seein' a pattern here XD) I don't really understand the point of the english lyrics but it's Laruku, so i guess i don't have to!
and last: Anemone- Slow and pretty sounding with sweet lyrics. A very cute song.
I'm sure you didn't need all that but if i was buying i would like more info than I'm used to getting. Again, i HIGHLY recommend this for ANYONE (well, unless you already have every Laruku album)
Hey, it's better than making a burned copy or having to hunt down and download every song...because you also get a pretty lyrics slip w/ pictures of each member (1 of each) and they are yummy lookin =)
If i had the money, I'd buy it for you just so you'd get to hear the magic of hyde's incredible voice, Ken's guitar talents, Tetsu's amazing bass skills, and Yukihiro's crazy good drumming. (and a lil Sakura too, even though he's not quite as good)
...sadly, I'm nowhere near rich...but you'll have to trust me on this one-it's worth the money!!"
Song-by-song summary

"1. Blurry Eyes
-one of Laruku's earliest and most popular songs. Very upbeat and fun!
2. Flower
-another fun song, pop
3. Lies And Truth
-Not my favorite L'Arc song, but Hyde's falsetto is fun to listen to!
4. Niji
-I LOVE the Live of Niji. The music video is kind of weird with all this symbolism that I don't quite understand, but it's definitely interesting. Very strong vocals and guitar and drums. Interesting, is the key word I'd describe it with. and maybe different.
5. Winter Fall
-As soon as I heard the first 10 seconds and before I even knew the title to this, I thought 'Christmas carol!' The music video for this is fluff, mostly just pretty shots of the band members but who's complaining? Perfect Christmas-time happy fun song. Reminds me of holiday lights, I don't know why.
6. Dive To Blue
-I didn't really care for the song at first, but after watching the music video, I fell in love with it! Beautiful and really expressive, especially if you pair it with the MV. Again, pop. Very flow-y and light. (MV highlights: Hyde holding the kitty, Hyde running in a little circle around his microphone stand)
7. Honey
-Um, to tell the truth, I thought the vocals sounded a little flat at first but I'm not much of a music critic. Once you get past the first 30 seconds or so, it's okay. Upbeat, more rock than the others so far.
8. Heaven's Drive
-One of my favorites!!! An awesome song from start to finish, every second. Very loud rock song. This is different from most of Laruku's work but I fell in love with it immediately. The drums are wonderful as are the vocals. It's a very powerful song, a lot of fun! This one song is worth the whole CD, in my POV. Love it, and it's definitely not overrated when people call it one of Laruku's best.
9. Pieces
-Very different from Heaven's Drive. This is a pretty soft, slow song. Sounds wistful or sad. Very pretty.
10. Driver's High
-Another energetic one. Very fun to sing along to, especially the chorus. Just don't listen to it while driving, hehe, although it makes a very fun driving song. Maybe listen to it while driving on a straight country road where there's no obstacles.
11. Neo Universe
-Another one of Laruku's best. Very fun, light pop song. Upbeat with beautiful lyrics and music and vocals. Again, Haido's falsettos, hehe.
12. Stay Away
-Title sounds a little angry, but the song is actually pretty happy. It's fun and the english lines, even though they make no sense, are fun to sing along with. Very fun, energetic song that I fell in love with right away. Definitely recommend the Live too, if you can get your hands on it. Hyde's singing is a little off at times, but it's fun to watch
13. Anemone
-A slow love song; very, very slow. er, I didn't like it that much, to tell the truth. But Hyde's voice is beautiful here, even though the song is kinda boring. It's a very slow-dance type. But it's pretty cool to hear Hyde hit all those extremely high notes. The song title kind of puts in mind of a jellyfish drifting along whenever I hear this song.
While some of the songs on this CD I wonder at, there are more than enough awesome ones to make up for them. Definitely recommend this as a starting place if you're just getting into JRock or L'Arc~en~Ciel. Or, if you're already a fan and have never heard a couple of these, get it, because it'll probably be worth just those couple songs that you've never heard.
^_^"
