"If a certain reviewer below had bothered to read the CD booklet before trashing this album, or even looked more carefully at the track listings, she would have realized that Track 3, "Ballade, Op. 21b" is subtitled "About Olden Times" and therefore the exact track she is looking for.



With that complaint out of the way let me just say that this is an excellent compilation of orchestral works by an all-too-unknown Russian romantic composer. Liadov's music bridges the gap between Rimsky-Korsakov and Scriabin. Give him a chance and see for yourself."
