Joe Lara may be a new name to Tejano music fans, but Joe Lara's music has been a part of Tejano music for years. An accomplished studio musician, Joe's accordion performances can be heard on such classics as "Tu Vestido Blanco," by Rene Serrata, and other great recordings by artists like Los Chachos, Jesse Serrata, and Tonka Y Libre.
Three short years ago, Joe Lara formed his own group called Xprezzion, and from that point on, Joe Lara Y Xprezzion has been entertaining fans in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Dallas, and the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
This new release on Hacienda Records, entitled "Llevame," represents total musical "expression" by Joe Lara and his group. It's filled with rancheras, boleros and cumbias: conjunto music at its best!
Also an accomplished songwriter, Joe Lara composed several songs on this CD. Combine Lara's songs with the compositions of bajo sexto player Ted Villalobos and award winning songwriter, Beto Ramon, and all ten songs on this CD represent complete originality and a totally unique musical "Xprezzion."
Highlights include "No Le Den Tequila," "Hay Momentos," "Me Perdí En Mi Mente," and the title song "Llévame." This CD is conjunto with class - Joe Lara Y Xprezzion.
