"I've had this album since I was a kid and I've listened to it practically non-stop. I've learned the tunes, sang the songs, and just greatly enjoyed every second of it. Everything on it is perfect, and if you're even slightly interested in the traditional music of Quebec or in folk music in general, BUY IT NOW!!!
La Bottine Souriante [The Smiling Boot] are the leading lights of the Quebecois folk revival. They were recently voted best band in the world by Dirty Linen magazine and are universally acclaimed as being amazing musicians and interpreters of Quebecois music. That said, the Bottine of today is an amalgam of traditional Quebecois music, funky horn section solos, worldbeat rhythms, crazy pole-dancing, and general madness. They're very accessible and popular, but in my mind, nothing beats the joy and spirit of the original band, before the horn section and worldbeat ways. The original band just cranks out the most gorgeous and captivating traditional music imaginable, without the amplification and flashy showmanship of the new band. So, this album is the best album the Bottine ever did, hands down, and the best example there is of the power of the old Bottine. BUY IT NOW!!

"Google thirty below and music--you'll see that this album is NOT collectable. It is in print and widely available. Shame on this seller."
