From her beginnings in Cuba to the clubs of NYC, her on-stage show and her versatility of styles was second to none. Her performances made her a cult favorite. Her repertoire ranged from boleros to son montuno and everything in between. Her stage show was an emotional scenario that was unforgettable as she often took off pieces of clothing and ended up in a trance-like state. She released a string of classic hits such as "Que Te Pedi", "La Tirana", "Si Vuelves Tu", "Fever" and more spanning genres and cultivating an enormous fan base. Her tumultuous personal life took it's toll on her and she passed away at the early age of 55. She was recently the subject of the full-length film, La Lupe Queen of Latin Soul.
