"La Tremenda Korte, named after the clasic & influential Cuban radio show that starred the Cantinflas like character Tres Patines, is one of the solid & enduring bands that emerged from Mexico City's Ska movement in the early '90s. Over the years they have matured into very good musicians so much so that they achieved this recording with the discerning "Opcion" and have participated in many important cultural festivals such as the 2001 Afrocaribbean festival in Veracruz. Yet, they still try to maintain the mystique of an "underground" band...playing in the oddest venues....I saw them at the Ho Chi Min auditorium at the School of Economics at UNAM. This album is a fun & creative mix of rock & roll, ska & high flying brass (saxophone & trombone) with that spicy sarcasm exhibited by Mexican bands such as Cafe Tacuba & Maldita Vecindad.



La Tremenda Korte, homologo del popular programa de la radio Cubana con su clasico personaje Tres Patines, es uno de los grupos mas solidos y duraderos que salieron del movimiento Ska chilango de los anos 90. Con el tiempo han madurado como musicos...a tal grado que la exclusiva disquera "Opcion" les produjo este album y tambien han participado en importantes festivales culturales come el Afrocaribeno Veracruz 2001. Aun pretenden mantener la enigma de ser banda del "bajo mundo"...tocando en los foros mas inesperados...yo los vi en el auditiorio Ho Chi Min de la facultad de Economia de la UNAM. Este album es muy divertido y creativo con mezcla de Rock and Roll, Ska, descargas de Saxofon y Trombon y con esa picardia sarcastica ya conocida en grupos como Cafe Tacuba y Maldita Vecindad."
