Powerful and Real!!!

"This CD is great! It includes a variety of rhythms and styles, including Latin music. The songs will accompany you in celebrating God's wonderful love and mercy. Whether you want to dance or stand and lift your hands, the songs in this CD will lead you right to it. I especially like the song "Who can satisfy," which is interpreted by Cindy Cruse-Ratcliff and Marcos Witt. I had never heard a song in which one person sang in English and then another person sang in Spanish. You would think that it sounds crazy, but it's actually a beautiful song. They definitely have the grace to do it, because it must be very difficult to do that in such a smooth and magnificent way. The song is about depending on God in every aspect of your life because He is the Only One who can fill your heart with joy and peace and protect you. Another song that I like a lot is "Speaking to Nations." Knowing that God is the Father of every person in this world, we need to stand and declare God's glory and freedom among all the nations. And that's what this song does. All the other songs are awesome too. If you are looking for a great Praise & Worship CD with powerful and real songs, you just found it!"

"I purchased this CD by "accident " at [another store]. I was there looking to see what they had new. This is just another praise and worship project that I can never get tired of playing. It is so very uplifting to the spirit. It ushers in the presence of the Lord. Cindy Cruse Ratcliff and Israel Houghton offer a sweet sound of praise and worship from beginning to end. Neither is trying to sing over the other; you can sense the unity between the two of them, as well as the choir and musicians. Each song has something for everyone who listens to this project. This is truly a blessing...I may add to my review later..."

"I'm very blessed to be able to attend Lakewood from week to week and this CD is one that I will never get tired of listening to! You can feel the very presence of God lifting your heavy load off of you as you listen to these tunes. If you think this CD is good, wait until you hear the one coming out on October 14, 2003!!!!!! It is entitled "Cover The Earth" and it ROCKS!!!!! (in a Godly way of course!)"

"I've just discovered Lakewood Church within the past year or so. Pastor Joel Osteen is a gifted speaker with a very positive message for all. I watch weekly over the internet.

Released in 2002, this CD is an incrdible first offering for Lakewood. These folks are America's own "Hillsongs", and Cindy Cruse-Ratcliff our own Darlene Zschech. Cindy, along with Israel Houghton, are upbeat and in tune with the Holy Spirit as worship leaders on this album.

There are some rockin gospel flavored tunes ("Highly Exalted", "Better Than Life", "You Are Good") as well as a bit of Latin flare in "Gloria". Also a time of beautiful worship is experienced in "Everything", "Only In Your Presence", and "Show Me Your Glory".

Alvin Slaughter makes a guest appearance on "We've Come To Worship You". Displaying their diversity and multi-cultural appeal, Lakewood's own pastor of their spanish speaking services, Marcos Witt, joins Cindy on "Who Can Satisfy" and "Lift Your Voice And Sing".

Personal favorites for me are "All About You" and "We Speak To Nations" (which was performed again, live, in a wonderful multi-media presentation at the recent July 2005 grand opening weekend of Lakewood's new facilities in Houston).

Thanks Lakewood! I think the nations are listening!"

"This CD from the Lakewood Church in Houston is absolutely wonderful. The music is original and upbeat. This CD will take you from singing and dancing to crying out for the Lord. It is excellent for anyone looking for a praise and worship CD that is different from what you would normally hear on Christian radio. The vocals are fantastic and the band (orchestra) is phenomenal. Please get this for your collection, especially if you are a praise and worship leader. Your congregation will thank you and you will take your church to another level. I also highly recommend Lakewood's other (new) CD "Cover the Earth". It is even more energetic and exciting. You can feel the spirit in the room, even in the comfort of your own home."
