Synopsis

Album Description
Exclusive European pressing features both albums (same content as the domestic) housed in a slipcase. Nashville's Lambchop have been making alt-country, neo-soul, indie-rock records for over ten years now. 'Aw Cmon', their eighth release & follow-up to 2002's 'Is A Woman', contains lush instrumentals, rousing rave-ups, & thoughtful ballads. This record is coupled with its companion, 'No You Cmon'. While the albums aren't dramatically different in style, they do serve as a conceptual call & response to each other. Whether enjoyed as a set or as two completely different pieces, Lambchop have created two of the most diverse & creative albums of their illustrious career. City Slang. 2004.

CD Reviews

Lambchop at their Best
Richard A. Newman | Austin, Texas | 11/08/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Whether you listen to them for the gorgeous orchestration, or the ultra-mellow tones of Kurt Wagner (vocals), Aw C'Mon/No You C'Mon is the ultimate Lambchop experience. Never mind that they have broken the Nashville mold many times over, never mind the plethora of avid reviews, this album is simply fantastic! Listen to Kurt bust out a little Barry White on the track "Something's Going On" and try not to like it. I dare you. If you are looking for your first Lambchop album, or are just thinking of some great mood music, pick up this album and play it with care: I have already had two of these stolen from me (both by women)."
