Another great side of Larry Coryell

"One of Jazz's all-time great guitarists pays his respects to Wes Montgomery and the organ trio tradition in this recent of Coryell's musical treats. While this isn't a Montgomery imitation (no need for LC to imitate anyone) there are enough signs here to cause interest in some of Wes's work with organists (and other stuff). Larry himself shows enough of his own originality, as does organist Sam Yahel (is he playing bass with his left hand exclusively?), and the drumming of Paul Wertico is a wonderful contribution. This is really worth having, for both their fine work on originals and the trio's treatment of standards."
Larry always delivers.
