"This disc should put to rest any fear that multichannel classical SACD would be just another "quad" mess or ping pong. The engineers got this one right - the rear channels are what they should be, the ambience of the hall. One is NOT sitting in the middle of the orchestra. One is sitting normally, with the orchestra before you and the hall behind. The ambience, as well as the principal sound, is utterly relaxed and strain free. Your room blooms and sings. The playing, as those familiar with the Venice Baroque Orchestra will know, is informed and dramatic both. A delight to listen to. Other labels take note - this is how to do it."
