This awesome, impressive and anointed group inspires, motivates and encourages as it displays the gift that God has blessed it with. You will truly enjoy their live concerts as they minister under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. In 1987, Tyrone Dickerson was led by the Holy Spirit to form a music ministry that would touch lives, souls and spirits. Christian Fellowship has done just that, ministering to people all over the country. Under the anointed direction of prolific composer, arranger, producer and musician Tyrone Dickerson, Christian Fellowship has elevated gospel music to heavenly new heights with their album Jesus Did It. Produced and arranged by Tyrone, who serves as music director for Yolanda Adams and Ben Tankard, Jesus Did It offers an exciting, exhilarating and enthusiastic musical expression. Christian Fellowship mixes a blend of lively instrumental interpretation with an angelic array of voices to produce a sound that soothes your soul, touches your heart and speaks to your spirit. The title track, ?Jesus Did It,? features the lead vocals of Montrell Darrett (Commissioned), Lowell Pye (Men of Standard) and Chris Huggins. This inspired syncopated song is fueled by Tyrone?s eclectic keyboards, Christian Fellowships breathtaking harmony and powerful praise lyrics. Tyrone and Christian Fellowship display their impressive versatility throughout the entire project. The spiritual anthem ?Ezekiel Saw The Wheel? reveals the groups vocal abilities a cappella style. ?He Changed My Name,? a song based on a real life experience, reflects the themes of faith, hope and courage. ?The song represents a time in my life when Jesus stepped in and saved me from myself,? Tyrone comments on the song?s inspiration. ?When I was touring with the Impressions, I knew deep down inside that I was only doing it for the money. As soon as I came to the realization that my divine purpose was to use my God-given talent to edify the body of Christ, my life changed and my music has been in His name ever since.? Commenting on what makes Tyrone Dickerson and Christian Fellowship such a dynamic and exemplary ensemble, Tyrone says, ?I think it is because of our diversity, our collective sense of spiritual purpose and our versatility. We try to speak to the needs of our audience by meeting them on their level. We don?t just do one style of music. We try to give everyone something special to take home.? Tyrone and Catherine McGowin, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, created Christian Fellowship in November 1987. He had a vision to begin a strong musical ministry that would reach out to the community as well as the church. ?It was a new experience for me, but one I was compelled to undertake,? says Tyrone. Growing up on Harvey, Illinois, Tyrone began his extraordinary musical career at the age of 13 playing the drums for his church. Tyrone went on to teach himself how to play keyboards. ?Later I found out that I liked writing songs and directing the choir,? he acknowledges. ?There?s something very satisfying about hearing a large group of beautiful voices singing words that I wrote, arranged and produced, especially when the voices are praising God.? As Christian Fellowship developed, it gained a large response of admiration. By 1989, Christian Fellowship toured the nation, sharing stages with gospel legends such as Yolanda Adams, Commissioned, Darryl Coley, Albertina Walker, Ben tankard, Keith Pringle and many others. Christian Fellowship recorded its first album in 1989 under the now defunct WFL record label. The group signed with Tribute Records in 1991 and released its second sensational CD, ?Let?s Praise the Lord.? Now, everyone is anxiously awaiting the release of Tyrone Dickerson and Christian Fellowship?s fourth album, Launch Out, due to hit the stores in May 2000. This CD promises to meet and exceed the expectations that were set by Jesus Did It.
