"This concert was recorded back in 1998 at the grand Royal Theater Carre in Amsterdam in front of a very passionate audience of Laura all over the world. Laura brings a sponteneity, an ability to connect with them emotionally and focus their attention on having an unforgettable musical feast.With the wonderful Metropole Orchestra under the baton of the great conductor Dick Bakker, Laura offers an incredible performance, which is at once intensely exhilarating and technically brilliant. Opening with the big band sound of 'I've got you under my skin' and 'Ask yourself why' and accompanied by special guest, Michel Legrand, who is widely acknowledged as the greatest composer and pianst the world has ever seen, performs some of his most famous compositions. All beautiful trade mark tracks sung and sound just as marvellous as when they were first released. There isn't one track on here that is weaker than the next, and the fantastic thing is the variation of the songs-Laura glides seamlessly from flawless French to Portugese. This is an amazing live recording from The Goddess of Jazz : Laura Fygi. Additionally, the recording was also released in VCD and DVD. The result is a musical magic. A superb bright and highly attractive collection for every Laura's devotees."
