Brilliant Solo Acoustic Guitar Album

"Breaking Point is one of the coolest songs ever written for solo guitar, and it only could have come from Juber. Eye of the Storm is a magnificent tone poem for guitar, Along the Way is a superb folk song, Green Kitchen is beautiful and it bounces along, and The 5:55 is a great steam engine and jazzy piece. The whole CD - it's beautifully recorded, enhanced by the fact that LJ plays without fingernails - which makes for a beautiful texture of sound - flesh on steel against wood - he simply has the best tone possible. The thing that is great about this album, is that it grows on you - there is great composition, technique, and genuine musicianship from LJ, who sounds like he is playing from his heart - his authentic self - which is a joy for me, because he is truly one of the masters of guitar and composition. Thanks for this one LJ!"

"Listening to Laurence Juber play the guitar is a source of inspiration even if you don't play yourself. "Guitarist" allows you to savor his work in it's purest, truest form . You have to hear this one to appreciate how wonderfully complex solo acoustic guitar can be."

"As a fingerstyle guitar player with minimal skill, I have reached the point of knowledge where one realizes that one knows nothing. However, I do now generally recognize great talent when I hear it. My list of finger-stylist favorites is very short, with the likes of Doyle Dykes at the top. Juber just made the list with this album.
Juber's skills are nothing short of top-notch. He combines his skill with the heart of a true guitarist and produces some very pleasant ear candy. I highly recommend a purchase. Bravo Laurence!"
