"This is an amazing good recording from the late 1950s that apparently never saw the light of day until now -the record company folded before the album could be released. It boasts high quality Marty Paich arrangements with a full, brassy orchestra. Not all of the cuts swing -a few are well done ballads. Laurie Allyn has great controlled delivery. It's a true loss that the record never got released, preventing Laurie Allyn's career from taking off. This record is well worth your time."

"I purchased this CD online a couple of years back, largely because for years I have been a huge fan of Marty Paich's brilliant arranging for singers.



After several listens to many of the songs (as well as a couple readings of the informative liner notes), it makes me sad that the original album never saw the light of day - it was recorded 50 years ago, right before I came along. The mastering was fantastic!
