"This is her debut CD from her break away solo career of Loose Ends. I pick up her CD back in 97 when I saw the video "Can't Let Go". I knew then that this was a CD that I had to have. Took me awhile to find it in a back alley record store. The entire CD is great, from her slow bass thumpin tracks, to her up tempo dance tracks. Omar (international urban/soul artist) layed a excellent track with: "Today" and Laurnea spit her sexy soulful voice all over it. Her new CD: "Laurnea II" is a great CD as well. I do suggest that everyone add this one to your collection.oNe"

"Correct me if I'm wrong...but in this album the influence of jazz is stronger than R&B....for example "Happy"...it's an acid jazz song for me....and it's a great simple song...also she posses a great smooth vocals.....she deserves more credit from people who lovs music.....Go Laurnea!"
Truly Underappreciated!

"Unfortunately Laurnea and her production crew were slightly ahead of their time. She was a couple of years ahead of the Alternative R&B wave. I don't want to try my hand at revising a small part of music history but, her music along with Dionne Farris, Me'Shelle Ndegeocello & early D'Angelo softened up the Black Music community for the projects now getting all the praise & attention, such as Macy Gray, Angie Stone, Erykah Badu, Jazzy Fatnastees etc. The cut "Infatuation" is an infectious aural potion of Prince, Gladys Knight, Nancy Wilson and other great jazz, funk & R&B influences. It's a shame that she was overlooked by so many with her debut. She's a much stronger singer than Macy Gray, more original than Angie Stone, more down to Earth than Badu. I certainly hope she gets the chance to bless our ears one more time."

"After listening to Laurnea's CD, I just had to have it. I'd never heard of her until I was able to listen to her Betta Listen Album on the net. It seems that the album was released in August of 1997. All I can say is where was I then. The songs are wonderful, inspiring, soothing and so DEEP! I've been searching the music stores for it and cannot find it, so I had no alternative but to order from Amazon. Thanks"
This CD lets you know you'll be fine & life continues.
