""Laurnea II" will become one of those recordings that years from now Soul Purists and Collectors will seek out and value for the purity of its soul music tradition. A soothing modern collection of rolling soul grooves occassionally grazed by Fender rhodes-type jazzy touches. Laurnea is in full control of a quiet voice that sings, swoops, coos, cries and soothes. She sings songs that tell tales of joy, loss, good times and struggles. A soundtrack for living. You'll repeatedly want to return to this album like to an old comfortable friend. It's a worthy import purchase."

"... Not only am I mad about this album being so disappointing, I'm even more upset that it was an expensive diappointment! I have her first album which prompted the purchase of this one. LAURNEA IS CAPABLE OF SOOO MUCH MORE. To my horror, this album is just one step up from Pru's catastrophe. Admittedly I do like track 4 called "Still come back 2 you". Because I do really like Laurnea, I'm not giving up on her altogether, just this album. I'll stand-by and wait for her Junior effort."

"I went to high school with Laurnea back in the Midwest. I remember her walking through the hallways belting out whatever tune that was in her mind. She could sing then and she could sing now. Believe me she has paid her dues. Last I heard of Laurnea, she was in the Chicago production of the "Wiz" and that was years ago. This is what makes her better than Lauryn or Badu. There's no substitute for experience. You go homegirl."

"I don't know why they have this as a import. I picked it up a 2 months ago here in Atlanta. at Ear Wax records. The girl can blow! believe me ! Her last CD (Betta Listen) had me hooked then and now she done it again. Badu, Lauren Hill, better look out. While they are doing it on looks Laurnea' is blessing the mic with serious vocals. the tracks are: (1)come inside (2)just a little (3)still come back 2U (4)he's my man (5)keep your head up (6)music (7)she's hurtin (8)groovin (9) peaceful waters (10)wrong (11)mary (12)U changed me/ ..........please go get this CD....... one"
