CD Reviews

Good band that is different

"The Chills is a very good album. Lazy Lane is a really unique band that makes songs that are perfect for Halloween. Their material has a haunting sound to it, and Lily Lane's vocals are so unique and effective. Her voice fits the music so well. A seductive, playful voice that is haunting at the same time. My favorite tracks on this album are Eraser, Black Cat, Waking Up Buttercup, Poltergeist, Soul Thief, and Malaysian Dream Doll. There is not one bad track on the whole album.

I had never heard of Lazy Lane until I purchased Midnight Syndicate's haunted mansion album, The 13th Hour. Lily Lane contributed her voice to a lot of tracks on that album, and she did a great job. Her voice is perfect for that album. I can see why Midnight Syndicate asked her to provide her voice.

If you like pop music with a dark twist, then you should check out Lazy Lane. Lily Lane's voice and the band's melodies and sound will hook you and pull you in. You'll like this album. Buy it. Play it next Halloween and you'll have people coming up to you and asking you what music is playing.
