"Sadly "Pop Artificielle" is Lassigue Bendthaus' last release. Fortunately, it was another amazing one. Presented as a concept album of sorts (I've heard stories that this is what the final product would be of a futuristic robot karaoke party..), PA covers old 60s and 70s songs with a very high level of innovation. Each song feels a little sparse musically on a passive listen. However, once attention is paid to the incredible amount of detail presented, it simply floors you. The songs themselves feel sort of skittery, as do the vocals (Uwe created vocoder software which creates a synthetic feel based on the raw vocal material given).While it's certainly a little strange that Uwe chose to end the Lassigue Bendthaus name with an album of covers, it is certainly an amazing one. Hopefully, it will be as influential to other artists as his Render and Binary discs were.Enjoy."

"LB (born Uwe Schmidt) is Atom Heart a.k.a. Señor Coconut. This disc is all covers of songs. The twist; however, is that LB has used a computer to synthesize the original singer's voice. 'Jealous Man' sounds eerily like John Lennon. So much so that it gives me shivers knowing that Mr. Lennon need not be alive to continue making new music."

Showcase of Electronic Mastery.

"I didn't know much about this character except his early harsh electro-industrial works under the same name, so i was thrown into sharp relief when I heard this album expecting that it was going to be more of the beat heavy stuff that makes for ebm / industrial dance floor fodder. This is at its heart a downtempo sub bass rich break happy chill out and listen album full of intricate editing and tasteful use of effects applied to ageless pop songs. Everything seems to fit nearly perfectly. The technique is highly tech savvy, but not filled with kitch or trendyness. This album will sound awsome 10 or 20 years from now, and will be on my cd shelf forever. There are very definate kraftwerk influences in the music. The best single isn't previewable here :( I really like the track 6 You are in my system. This is definately worth a listen and may even be a good cd to convert people who eschew electronic music soley for its namesake."
