"Made in EU in 2000, Serial# ZCRCD-54, Playing Time 36:57This is the band's 3rd album, originally released back in 1980. Even though there has been no change in personnel, the musical orientation has changed towards a "rockier" sound, not as "souhern" and soft as before, perhaps to appeal to a broadier and radio-listening audience.Still, it's a nice-sounding album, clearly demonstrating the penmanship of Pollard and Roddy. The arrangements have a nice polish, catchy melodies. The booklet includes lyrics to all the songs.Somewhat of a departure from their "roots", and perhaps why they dropped the Louisiana reference from their name. If you have their "best of" cd, tracks 9 to 11 are from "Up", and a representative selection of what you'll find across this entire disc."
You must give this band a try.

"If you haven't heard Lousiana's LeRoux, you have missed something special. Though there first two albums (Lousiana's LeRoux and Keep the Fire Burning) are probably the best this band has made, this album is no slouch. The band made their mark as a fusion of rock, country, and New Orleans style jazz. However, this album leans to a more mainstream rock sound. It is a pity that Capital records did little to promote this band. Every person I've introduced their music to has instantly fallen in love with it... you will too.Look for other CDs that are available which include imports of Lousiana's LeRoux (1st album), Last Safe Place, and Bayou Degradable (Greatest Hits). The band has a web site with more info on their music and sample files of their music."
A far cry from their eariler style

"With their third album Louisiana's Le Roux not only dropped Louisiana from their name but they abandoned the bayou flavored rock of their first two albums (the debut "Louisiana's Le Roux" and its follow-up "Keep the Fire Burning" -- both out of print) for a more generic arena rock sound. Gone was the soul, r&b, country/rock, Cajun romps of their earlier sound and in its place were guitar solos, and other stamps of groups like REO Speedwagon, Journey, Foreigner, etc. To be fair to the band their version of this style was significantly better than those band (and others like them who had much more commercial success) but if you were a fan of those first two albums you might want to proceed with caution before getting this one. Too bad the first two aren't available on CD."
