"Hello from England!....got into Mr. Clayton's music thru' fanzine read-up...never looked back!This ex jet pilot , from Tennesee, had one of the most remarkable voices AND poetic talent , of ALL the 70's revered 'singer-songwriters'!!!! Borrowing the amazing guitar skills of Philip Donnelly, no less, Lee penned some of my very favourite songs!A lot of them appear on this , so-called 'essential collection.Truth is , every song, on every album he released, (4/5), was exceptional!Here, tracks like "10,000 years/Sexual moon","LIKE A DIAMOND", "I RIDE ALONE"(one of his best), "Rainbow in the sky", "Tequila is addictive"....the list just goes on.....a truly remarkable singer-songwriter, ..with a voice both gravelly, sexual & masterful!!!!Lee Clayton! where are you ..please ..give us more songs!!!!This c.d. is an essential purchase to anyone who recognises Grrrrrrreat songs.BUY!!!!!"
